On select Saturdays throughout July and August, our guests will speak about their experiences and share knowledge that they have gained over the years. Anyone wanting to learn more about and connect more deeply with First Nations and Red River Métis culture is invited and encouraged to attend.
Biography: Pat Bruderer, also known as Halfmoon Woman, will demonstrate the ancient Indigenous practice of birch-bark biting, of which she is one of only a few Knowledge Keepers and expert practitioners. Bruderer is Assin’skowitiniwak and is a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

Biography: Armand Jerome is a Métis Red River Cart builder originally from Roblin, Manitoba. Armand has built 61 carts in the past 25 years. In 2008, his Ukrainian wife Kelly joined him to form Jerome Cartworks and together, they not only build carts but also use them on trail rides through Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In their presentation, they will share tales of their trail adventures, cart building and Armand's Métis history.

Glitter by the River
