Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site
The Fortress of Louisbourg regularly offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages and interests. Take part in the daily life of the "residents" of this 18th century fortified town and plan your visit around the activities that interest you most. There is no shortage of choices!
The 2025 daily schedule is tentative and subject to change.
All of our enhanced programs can be purchased on a first-come, first served basis upon your arrival at the De la Plagne house (#23 on the map).

For a quick bite to eat, look no further than our café: tea, coffee, cookies and more. Open May 23 to October 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Have a seat in our restaurant to enjoy a meal, available from June 25 to September 23, 2023 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm or take advantage of our Perfect Picnic offer to have a meal packed for you to enjoy anywhere in Louisbourg! Available June 18 to October 13, 2023 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Calling all craft beer and liquor enthusiasts! Enjoy locally-brewed beers and ciders as well as locally produced rum in the authentic atmosphere of our new Storehouse Tavern, open daily June 18 to October 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Don’t forget to have a taste of Louisbourg’s unique soldier’s bread, baked fresh daily at the King’s Bakery. Open June 25 to September 23, 2023 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.
