Discover the Aquatic Species at Risk display at Greenwich
Prince Edward Island National Park
At the Greenwich Interpretation Centre in PEI National Park, visitors can experience a dynamic display that brings attention to endangered aquatic species found in Atlantic Canada. Created through a collaboration between Ingenium and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, this initiative was launched in 2018, with the Greenwich display opening to the public in June 2023.

This engaging display features full-scale models of notable marine species, including the great white shark, leatherback sea turtle, Atlantic wolffish, and winter skate. Alongside the replicas, visitors will find interpretive panels that explore the natural environments of these species and the obstacles they face in the wild.
The display includes educational videos and posters that delve into the lives of species listed under the Species at Risk Act. Here, visitors will find insights into each species' behaviour, habitat, and factors that threaten their survival.
These displays and resources aim to raise awareness, deepen understanding, and encourage action to help protect Canada’s vulnerable aquatic wildlife and the ecosystems they call home.

Location and hours
The display can be seen at Greenwich Visitor Interpretation Centre. The centre is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, starting June 4th until September 1st, 2025.
